Dr. Irfan Younas is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences. His current research interests include Evolutionary Algorithms, Bioinformatics, Combinatorial Optimization, Search Heuristics, Multi-objective Optimization, Many-Objective Algorithms, and Machine Learning. Currently, he is working on collaborative projects with Manchester University, Faculty of Life Sciences, where they are investigating Proteins Domain-Domain interactions within and across species. Previously, Dr. Irfan has worked on different military and defense related projects carried out at the Swedish Defence Research Agency (FOI). Moreover, he has around 8 years of extensive industry experience in Design, Development, Implementation and Management of systems in wide variety of areas. Dr. Irfan has been awarded fully funded scholarships from HEC to undergo the Masters and PhD studies at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden.
